Found a new way to do the salt water flush!

Day 7, fast # 5? 6?  And it’s taken me this long to figure out a better way to do the salt water flush.  So after skipping one day, then painfully making up for it the next, I woke up dreading the liter of salt water.  But then it hit me!!  I warmed up the entire liter of water, and poured 1/4 of it into a tall glass with the 2 tsp. of salt, chugged that (I’m still cringing), but then chugged the rest of the clean, pure, luke-warm water immediately.  Rolled around on a yoga ball just to be sure icon wink Found a new way to do the salt water flush!   And it’s officially successful!!  Not that it tasted great, and I seriously had to keep myself from hurling it back up, but then you get to chase it with the rest of the water.  Bingo!

I’m feeling good, and can tell my body is leaning up a bit.  Not sure how much weight I’ve lost, but I can always check, and it’s really secondary to the cleansing.  After I finish with the cleanse I do plan on transitioning to an 80% raw foods diet.  My body seems to feel its best when I’ve done it in the past, and I want to get back into running, and possibly doing some more races.  15K was the most I’ve done, and hope to do at least a half-marathon at some point!

I did experiment with my body last night….at a barbeque with some new friends (Erik’s gang) I tried having a beer, just because of the occasion.  I definitely could have done without it, but choose to with good intent.  And let me tell you it was the best tasting Cascade Lakes Organic Ale I have ever tasted!  There’s one of the many payoffs to this fast—food will taste much better afterwards!  That’s how I knew too that it was time to do another cleanse, when food wasn’t tasting good anymore and I was slowly getting into some poor eating habits.  Always a good idea to have a way to keep myself in check icon smile Found a new way to do the salt water flush!   I just want to be healthy!  If food is your medicine, then there’s a lot of bad medicine out there.

Today’s goals:  walk with Guinness, some yoga, work on the website, and start in on some spring cleaning.  Namaste!
