My fasting plan…

Ok, my plan goes something like this. I will eat dinner on Sunday night. Nothing big, and no one else should because you will feel more hungry come Monday morning. I will probably also do a salt water flush Sunday night. It helps to start the detox, but stay near a bathroom because it will clean you out all at once, about 2 hours after you finish the water. Monday morning sometime I will drink an 8-10 oz cup of Odwalla Superfood, you can drink any fruit based smoothie mix but stay away from anything with dairy or whey protein because it will slow down the process. There are actual supplemental powders that are fruit or grass based juices. You just add water or a little bit of apple juice but use the juice sparingly because there is a lot of sugar in it. Then around dinner I will drink another smoothie/juice and figure out what to do with my spare time. I repeat this processes for as long as I can, I’m aiming for 5 days. Last time I did it while everyone was eating I took a bath or called a friend. Also remember to drink water all day. If you exercise regularly you can do it but on a lighter intensity. I also chewed a bunch of gum, it cured that chewing need. On the first day or two expect headache and muscle aches, this is not fun and your bodies will all respond differently. You can also drink a little bit of green tea, especially if you have a caffeine habit like I do, it will help with the headaches. For me by day three I have a weird energy that seems to come from nowhere. Also my tongue will turn yellowish or grayish coating. It’s the toxins beginning to release, it may take others longer to get to this point, like I said everyone’s body is different. You will also start to sweat for nothing, again it’s your body releasing the toxins, it could also cause skin breakouts, because your body will be really toxic at this point because the toxins are working the way to the surface and out the skin and tongue. You will know when it’s time to eat, I usually last about 4 days, you can go as long as 6-7 days. Now this is important, when you start to eat again you have to take it slow. Start out with a soft fruit like watermelon or cantaloupe, then work your way to a salad or veggies, but don’t eat meat or dairy for a day or so. The more complex the food the harder to digest so just take it slow. This is how I have done this in the past, I’m not saying it’s the best or only way to do it it’s just how I’ve done it. If any of you want to do it I would also recommend doing some research and know your body and what it can and can not handle. And remember it is definitely mind over matter and if you eat a bite of something here or there you didn’t fail you can continue on. I’ve done it on accident out of habit eaten a cracker when I got home from work, I ate 2 cheezits and realize what I’d done and just continued on. If you have any questions let me know.
